マドリッド中心部の裏通りにぽつんと灯りが灯るヘレスバー、つまりシェリーバーが一件。その名はLa Venencia。置いてある酒はというとマンサニージャ、フィーノ、オロロソ、アモンティジャード、パロ・コルタードといずれもシェリー5種のみ。いずれも例のシェリーグラスになみなみ注いで1.50ユーロから。つまみはオリーヴの塩漬け、次いで塩豆。カウンターに隣あわせた紳士からモハマ・デ・アトゥンを分けてもらう。そう、これはシチリア好きならピンとくるはず、モシャーメ・デル・トンノつまりマグロの血合いの塩漬けのこと。こうしたディープな肴でシェリーを一杯、というのが夜更けのマドリッドの流儀。MASA

友達に連れて行ってもらったのでどの辺にあったかは定かではありませんが、やはり中心部の裏通りにぽつんという感じでした。
